Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: To give information about the basic rules of photography, to teach the importance of photography in dentistry, to teach the basic principles of photography in dentistry theoretically and practically.
Course Content: This course includes introduction to photography, types of cameras, working principles of cameras, lenses, lens types, filters, other auxiliary tools of the photographer, things to consider when buying a camera, the formation of photography - aperture, shutter speed relationship, shutter speed and diaphragm selection examples, photography in dentistry. It includes topics such as causes, case photography techniques in dentistry, and intraoral mirrors.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To have knowledge about basic photography rules.
2) Understanding the importance of dental photography.
3) Knowing the basic differences between cameras.
4) Being able to recognize the equipment used in dental photography.
5) To know basic photography techniques at a level that can be applied in professional life.
6) To have knowledge about the maintenance of photography equipment used in dentistry.
