Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: Developing behavior appropriate to the role of occupational therapy in psychiatric situations, making occupational therapy evaluations, applying models and planning interventions.
Course Content: This course includes occupational therapy in psychiatry, basic concepts and stages of the creative skill model, occupational therapy in child psychiatry, occupational therapy in adolescent psychiatry, occupational therapy in schizophrenia, occupational therapy in substance use disorders, and forensic occupational therapy.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Will be able to understand the models used in occupational therapy evaluation and interventions in the field of psychiatry.
2) It can describe the person-centered model of creative skills.
3) Explains activity analysis and synthesis by using activities in the intervention methods chosen.
4) Analyzes psychosocial assessment results.
5) Plans an intervention program within the framework of the model.
