Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed to provide information about the normal kinesiological and biomechanical properties and pathomechanics of the locomotor system (about lower extremities, spine, circulatory and respiratory system, temporomandibular joint, gait).
Course Content: Course topics: columna vertebralis mechanics and pathomechanics, scoliosis and pathomechanics, temporomandibular joint mechanics and pathomechanics, sacroiliac joint and pelvis region mechanics and pathomechanics, hip region mechanics and pathomechanics, knee region mechanics and pathomechanics, ankle-foot region mechanics and pathomechanics, analysis of gait is a pathological gait.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Ability to define motion analysis theories and equipment
2) Ability to describe the mechanics and pathomechanics of the spinal joints (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral and pelvic region)
3) Ability to describe the mechanics and pathomechanics of the lower extremity joints (hip, knee, ankle and foot area).
4) Ability to describe the mechanics and pathomechanics of the Temporomandibular Joint
5) Ability to explain the characteristics of gait, gait analysis methods and pathological gait types
6) Ability to describe circulatory and respiratory system mechanics
