Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable students to improve their communication skills and English language proficiency in their respective fields of specialization
Course Content: This course includes discussions on physiotherapy and rehabilitation, health-related topics, listening to situations/events that may occur in daily life related to physiotherapy and health, and reading articles and written materials.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Developing vocabulary related to the field
2) Being able to use English terminology related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation
3) Being able to use basic concepts used in physiotherapy and rehabilitation in academic studies
4) Being able to conduct literature searches in a foreign language
5) Applying points to consider while translating
6) Understanding the points to consider in comprehending international articles and/or writings
7) Being able to translate professional scientific publications from English to Turkish and from Turkish to English
8) Being able to prepare a resume in a foreign language and acquire knowledge about interview techniques
