Course Objectives: |
To learn the tools and methods used in general microbiology. To recognize the general characteristics of microorganisms that cause disease in humans, to have information about the ways of transmission and protection, and to evaluate the diseases they cause. |

This course includes History of Microorganisms, Classification of Microorganisms, Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic Cell Structures, Growth and Multiplication of Microorganisms, Bacterial Morphology, Physiology and Nutrition, Sterilization and Disinfection Methods, Morphology and Physiology of Viruses, Fungi (Molds and Yeasts), Morphology and Physiology of Parasites, Nutrition and Microbiome, Effects of Microorganisms on Health and Industry, Immunity and Immune Response, Disease Factors and Control; Includes topics. |
