Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: Giving information about patient examination methods and techniques in endodontics, defining pulp diseases and teaching treatment methods, and giving information about current techniques at every stage of endodontic treatment.
Course Content: Classification of pulp tissue diseases, histological, physiological and clinical features of pulp diseases, diagnosis and treatment of these diseases, anesthesia and isolation procedures before endodontic treatment, drug use in root canals, current shaping and filling techniques in root canal treatment, radiographic imaging, healing of pulpal diseases, canal restoration after treatment, renewal of root canal treatment, augmentation systems and their place in endodontics.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to describe the structure and functions of the dentin-pulp complex.
2) To be able to classify and diagnose pulpal diseases and determine treatment options.
3) To be able to have information about patient examination methods and examinations.
4) To be able to explain the indications and contraindications of endodontic treatment.
5) To be able to explain the importance and requirements of infection control in endodontics.
6) To be able to apply every stage of root canal treatment and to explain current techniques in these stages.
7) To be able to have information about patient examination methods and examinations.

9) To have information about the problems and solutions that may occur during root canal treatment.
