Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: To introduce the definition and application areas of preventive dentistry, to provide information that can help the applications to be made.
Course Content: This course covers introduction to preventive dentistry, medical approach in dentistry and dental health education.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to define preventive dentistry.
2) To know the diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of oral and dental diseases with evidence-based practices.
3) To be able to understand the prevention of diseases and their demographic characteristics.
4) to be able to adopt the importance of preventive medicine practices.
5) Being able to prevent health problems of future patients and the whole society before they occur and to make necessary applications.
