Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: This course aims to teach students how to prepare a scholarly research project on a topic related to translation. Within the scope of this course, students will be required to follow a translation methodology and conduct research under the guidance of a supervisor.
Course Content: This course consists of discussion, analysis and synthesis of information in research context, methods of citing such as quoting, paraphrasing and summarising as well as the APA format.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Recognize the importance of precise and clear language, appropriate sentence construction in writing research papers
2) Evaluate evidence in research for accuracy, reliability, relevance, and sufficiency
3) Use in-text and end-text citations
4) Write a complete and detailed academic research paper including proper style, organization, format, language, argumentation and reasoning
5) Use the library appropriately and properly
