Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of lesson; To provide teacher candidates with social awareness during their pre-service training. To bring teacher candidates to a level where they can assume responsibility. It is to ensure integration with society. To enable teacher candidates to play a social leadership role. It is to ensure that teacher candidates have the necessary experiences to gain self-confidence. To create the necessary environment for teacher candidates to gain entrepreneurial skills. To enable them to recognize what voluntary practices such as community service can be. To carry out studies aimed at gaining the achievements in social studies programs on this subject; To associate one's own discipline with other disciplines with a holistic approach. To enrich the lives of its students in these matters by developing sensitivity to the needs of society.
Course Content: The importance of community service practices, identifying current problems of the society and preparing projects to produce solutions, participating in scientific events such as panels, conferences, congresses and symposiums as an audience, speaker or organizer, taking part voluntarily in various projects within the framework of social responsibility, implementing community service activities in schools. Acquisition of basic knowledge and skills.
