Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: To inform students about occupational safety and health outlines by bringing them in a level of consciousness in their future professional life.
Course Content: In concept of this lecture, the students will learn the concept of Occupational Health and Safety with its historical development.The abilities such as risk management, supplying safety at laboratories and self-protection will be gained as well as the laws and legislations maintained by the government and international organisations.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) The students will learn the required legislations and laws defining their rights and duties regarding to their future careers. They will have the fundamental knowlege about Occupational Health and Safety for their future professional life. The skills as risk management, self protection, legislations and laws about OHS will be gained. With the presentations and case studies, they will have the ability to discuss and comment about the specific OHS procedures on their own professions.

12) Case Study Presentations Each student has the responsibility to provide the presentation on predescribed subject in digital medium and should be prepared for the presentation.
