The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To take anamnesis from patients suffering from gynecological or obstetric complaints, perform a physical examination, select diagnostic tests, and interpret diagnostic test results.
2) Make differential diagnoses using anamnesis, physical examination, diagnostic test results, and evidence-based medicine principles. When necessary, can decide to refer patients to the advanced center under appropriate conditions.
3) Recognize gynecological and obstetric emergencies. Explain the common health problems and their causes in the field of gynecology and obstetrics.
4) Knows and performs gynecological and obstetric diagnosis and treatment approaches, and explains the measures for the protection of health on an individual and community basis.
5) Critically evaluate scientific knowledge in the field of gynecology and obstetrics.

Course Flow Plan

1) Basic obstetric gynecologic concepts, physiology of pregnancy and childbirth
2) Normal menstrual cycle, endocrinopathies and contraception
3) Benign and malign gynecologic problems
4) Approach to adolescent and menopausal patients, gynecologic and obstetric surgical interventions
