Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: To provide information about casting, welding, plastic shaping, machining and powder metallurgy manufacturing methods; To provide information about the principles of these procedures, the machines and equipment used, and to introduce their application areas; To provide calculation skills regarding basic manufacturing methods
Course Content: Principles and classification of manufacturing procedures; Comparison of manufacturing methods, their advantages and limitations. Design-manufacturing relationship; choice of manufacturing method
