Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the fundamental principles, technologies, and applications of wind energy, thereby highlighting its potential and significance. Students will acquire knowledge and skills related to the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of wind energy facilities, aiming to prepare them to work in the wind energy sector as part of sustainable energy production.
Course Content: This course will provide students with fundamental knowledge about the nature and potential of wind energy resources. Additionally, it will cover the principles of operation and applications of technologies such as wind turbines and energy conversion systems.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Students will understand the fundamental principles for assessing wind energy potential and optimal siting of wind energy facilities.
2) Students will comprehend the operation of wind turbines and energy conversion systems, enabling them to play an effective role in the design and installation processes of wind energy facilities.
3) Students will acquire basic knowledge in the operation, maintenance, and safety aspects of wind energy facilities, and grasp the necessary practices for sustainable energy production.
