Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: It aims to make people understand the environment-human-behavior relationship and the effects of space on human perception.
Course Content: Environment-Behavior Interaction; Effects of Human Needs and Orientations on the Formation of the Physical Environment; Theories Regarding Human-Space Relationship; Theories Regarding Behavior-Environment Relationship; Effects of the Concepts of Crowding, Density, Privacy, Security, Personal Space, Sovereignty on Space Use.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Learning the effects of human needs and orientations on the formation of the physical environment
2) Learning concepts and theories regarding human-space and behavior-environment relationships
3) Understanding the psychological effects of space on people
4) Effects of privacy, security, personal space concepts on space use
