Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to provide students with basic information on the basic concepts used in special education, the historical development process of special education, the evaluation of students with special needs, what special needs situations are, and the preparation of individual education programs for students with special needs.
Course Content: This course includes the history of special education, basic concepts, evaluation in special education, individualized education program, inclusion and rehabilitation processes.

1) The student knows the basic concepts of special education and the history of special education.
2) The student knows the methods of evaluating students with special needs.
3) The student knows the characteristics of students with special needs.
4) The student knows the methods of preparing individualized education programs for students with special needs.
