Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to teach students the general characteristics and types of qualitative research and to develop their research skills.
Course Content: With this course, students are introduced to the characteristics of quantitative and qualitative research, qualitative research designs, data collection methods in qualitative research, and data analysis in qualitative research.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to explain main characteristics of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
2) To be able to explain main characteristics of qualitative research designs.
3) To be able to compare the characteristics of qualitative research designs.
4) To be able to explain the general characteristics of data collection tecniques of qualitative research.
