Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to provide students with a perspective through theories and theories about attachment and close relationships and to enable them to use this perspective effectively in practical applications.
Course Content: This course covers the definition, development and history of close relationships, close relationships in a cross-cultural context, attachment theory and practices, partner selection and initiation of relationships, communication and sensitivity, emotional regulation and cognition, interdependence, friendship, romantic love, maintaining and developing relationships, sexuality. , includes topics such as stress and tensions in relationships and ending relationships.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) The student defines the basic concepts and theories that deal with close relationships.
2) The student knows the dynamics of close relationships and the variables that affect them.
3) The student explains the impact of individual and environmental factors on problems that occur in close relationships.
4) The student interprets close relationships in childhood and adulthood from an attachment perspective.
