Course Objectives: | The aim of the course is to learn frequently used concepts in the field of medical terminology together with their formation mentalities. |
Course Content: | The history of medical terminology and the basic rules in its formation, and the systematic discussion of the musculoskeletal, digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, urinary, genital, endocrine, nervous, eye, ear, nose and throat systems in the human body under separate headings, on the axis of medical terminology, constitute the content of the course. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Ability to learn the history of medical terminology 2) Ability to learn the basic principles in the formation of terminological words 3) Ability to learn terminologies frequently used in the field of health 4) Ability to select the prefixes, endings and derivational suffixes used. 5) Ability to explain the importance of medical terms in corporate communication. 6) Ability to show basic anatomical parts by naming them. 7) To be able to compare the urinary-genital-excretory-digestive systems. 8) Being able to connect terms etymologically. 9) Ability to define the concepts of health and disease. 10) Ability to evaluate the determinants of health. |
