Course Objectives: | This course aims to provide students with a general and comprehensive introduction to the discipline of psychology. At the end of the course, it is aimed for students to develop understanding skills for the main concepts and theories of psychology, as well as the scientific examination of mental and behavioral processes. |
Course Content: | Introduces psychology as an empirical science. Discusses the biological and evolutionary basis of behavior. It examines basic psychological processes such as motivation, emotions, learning, development and social behavior. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explain psychology as a science concerned with human behavior and mental processes. 2) Can define the main concepts and theories of psychology 3) Can explain scientific methods used in the study of behavioral and mental processes and give examples from various studies conducted in the field of psychology. |
