Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: At the end of the course period, the student
• What is design? How to start designing? What to pay attention to when designing? How to proceed from design to production? Having an opinion on issues such as
• Learning the concepts of filing and naming in design,
• Having knowledge about design thinking and design approaches,
• Having knowledge about how standard parts used in designs should be obtained, how to store them and how to use them,
• Having knowledge of part design, assembly design and drawing in the solid modeling program,
• Designing basic and mid-level parts,
• Making basic and mid-level assembly designs,
• Creating basic and intermediate technical drawings,
• Converting the design and technical drawing files into different formats,
• It is aimed to know the points that should be taken into consideration when sending designs to suppliers or manufacturers.
Course Content: • What is design? How to start designing? What to pay attention to when designing? How to proceed from design to production? Explaining and defining the subjects in detail,
• Defining the concepts of filing and naming in design,
• Defining design thinking and design approaches
• Giving information and explaining with examples how the standard parts used in the designs should be obtained, how they should be stored and how they will be used.
• Working with applications on part design, assembly design and drawing in the solid modeling program.
• Designing basic and intermediate level parts with examples,
• Making basic and intermediate level assembly designs with examples,
• Creating basic and intermediate level technical drawings with examples,
• Converting the design and technical drawing files to different formats with examples,
• Examining the points to be considered when sending designs to suppliers or manufacturers
