| Course Objectives: | It aims to increase their awareness of process and product quality concepts, to inform them about current and potential quality problems in production processes and to help them understand the strategic importance of quality planning and process control. It introduces process improvement methods commonly used in modern manufacturing companies, highlights the objectives and areas of application of these methods, teaches basic application procedures and details of their use and equips students with practical techniques and insights into process improvement results. |
| Course Content: | It focuses on the concepts of quality, process and product quality and their effects on production. ISO Quality Management Systems include process procedures and methods such as Six Sigma, 5S, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Robust Design. Core topics include quality planning, process control, FMEA, Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Comparative Analysis. Students will learn techniques for preventing and separating standards, implementing design methods to spread work environments and manufacturing processes. It also examines performance measurement systems and the quality system on an ongoing basis. |
|
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To grasp the significance of process improvement in manufacturing and develop awareness of existing and potential quality issues that may arise in production. 2) Developing the ability to track theoretical and practical publications related to manufacturing and process improvement. 3) Developing a perspective on the application processes of process techniques and the selection of appropriate methods. 4) Acquiring the theoretical knowledge and practical experience to contribute to future process improvement efforts in the industry or academia. |
