Istanbul, situated alongside a narrow strait separating the continents of Asia and Europe, is the only town on Earth with land on two continents.

Historic town of Istanbul is situated on a peninsula surrounded on three sides by the Sea of Marmara, the Bosporus and Golden Horn. City’s architecture is bringing together East and West. It is located within premises of the City such Roman relics like the Hippodrome, Basilica Cistern and Çemberlitaş as well as Galata Tower which is a heritage of the Genoese. International essence of Istanbul’s cultural heritage sites are well-renowned by being included in UNESCO’s World Heritage under the heading “Istanbul’s Historic Sites”. 

In Istanbul, industry has recently been substituted by such sectors like finance, tourism, service and banking with their management headquarters. Despite the aforesaid status concerning industry, heart of Money markets is beating with an ever-increasing pace as always in Istanbul. As of its geographical position, first 4 work hours of Istanbul coincides with Asian countries, whereas the other 4 hours with European countries. And this brings Istanbul to the status of a natural finance center. 

Out of 153 museums in Turkey, 14 are in Istanbul and from the existing 2 million 400 thousand works 34% are exhibited in Istanbul’s museums. And at the point of international student mobility, it is the educational center of Europe, Asia and Africa, where hundreds of thousand foreign students are ongoing with their education in Istanbul.
