Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives:

The aim of the course is to provide information about the recognition of infectious agents in order to prevent infectious diseases caused by microorganisms.

Course Content:

This course includes definitions of infectious diseases, causative microorganisms, general symptoms and diagnostic methods of infectious diseases, principles of protection from infectious diseases, principles of asepsis and isolation, hospital infections and hospital control committee, immunity, viral, bacterial and parasitic infectious diseases, and common and important infectious diseases according to the type of microorganism.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;

2) Students learn the defense system against infectious agents and basic immune mechanisms
3) Students will learn about infection prevention methods.
