Course Objectives: | The purpose of this course is to equip students with the skills to develop and implement effective education programs for expectant parents during the preparation for parenthood. The course includes strategies and educational techniques aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of prospective parents from pregnancy to childbirth. |
Course Content: | The content of this course includes fundamental concepts and approaches used in parenthood preparation education, the pregnancy process and fetal development, childbirth and postpartum care, infant care, breastfeeding education, psychosocial support and stress management, methods and materials used for informing and educating parents, and the cultural and ethical aspects of parenthood preparation education. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Gains the ability to develop effective education programs for the preparation for parenthood. 2) Acquires in-depth knowledge of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum processes and uses this knowledge for parent education. 3) Can effectively apply the materials and methods used in parenthood preparation education. |
