Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: According to the philosophy of the Nursing Department at Istanbul University of Health Sciences and in line with country requirements, to teach nursing professionals management principles and skills, and enable students to effectively fulfill their leadership roles in the care process in health services. Additionally, this course aims to develop the knowledge and competencies that enable nurses to work in management positions or take on leadership roles in healthcare institutions.
Course Content: Basic concepts, theories, knowledge and skills regarding nursing services management and organization.

1) Explains the general features of management theories.
2) Defines concepts related to the management process.
3) Lists the stages of the management process
4) Discusses concepts related to conflict.
5) Defines the concepts of leadership and followership.
