Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to do an internship in an institution operating in the field of Molecular Biology and Genetics. In this way, it is aimed to have experience about business life by working in a company that conducts commercial or academic studies in the field of education and to apply what they have learnt.
Course Content: This is not a theoretical course. The content of the internship and the competencies to be gained experience will vary according to the subject of activity of the institution where the student is doing internship. The internship and its content will be evaluated with the internship book to be presented by the student.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Have knowledge about current experimental methods in the field.
2) Can carry out experimental studies and analyses within the scope of specific test protocols.
3) To be able to work according to the rules determined in a particular laboratory or unit.
4) To be able to make presentations and reports about what has been done within the scope of the studies to unit supervisors or experts.
5) To be able to work independently and to produce solutions to possible problems, to make suggestions and recommendations.
6) To be able to work in a team, to fulfil their responsibilities.
7) Mastering the quality management systems applied in the institution and acting according to the requirements of these management systems.

1) Since it is not a theoretical course, there is no weekly lesson plan. The student's internship activities will be evaluated by examining the internship book. Test / analysis methods, standard test protocols, visual and written resources. Data banks and online resources.
