Course Objectives: | To comprehend the structure and basic grammatical features of Turkish, to provide information about literary genres and examples, to give information about the proper use of Turkish and to focus on language-culture concepts. |
Course Content: | This course consists of language and its features, language-culture relationship, language families and groups, the place of Turkish among world languages, the historical periods and the development of the Turkish language, sentence and its elements, spelling rules and their application, punctuation and its use. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to understande the historical development of the Turkish language 2) To be able to determine the place of Turkish language among the world languages in terms of structure and origin 3) To be able to study the sound characteristics and sound events of Turkish 4) To be able to comprehend the word structure of Turkish 5) To be able to determine the characteristics of word types 6) To be able to form a correct and understandable sentence 7) To be able to detect inaccuracies in spelling and punctuation 8) To be able to identify problems caused by spelling and punctuation |
