Course Objectives: | The aim of the course is to learn the effect of the environment on health, to comprehend the environmental problems caused by population growth and development and to learn to evaluate them with an employee health approach. |
Course Content: | This course includes the concept of environmental health and determinants of health, environmental ecology and health, air, water, noise, radiation, soil pollution, waste types and urban solid waste management, waste water and treatment techniques, medical and hazardous waste control, climatology and indoor air quality, environmental health in the world and in Turkey. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to explain environment and environmental problems. 2) To be able to understand environmental regulations. 3) To be able to identify the risks that threaten the environment. 4) To be able to explain environmental health and waste management measures. 5) To be able to explain hazardous and medical waste management. 6) To be able to explain air, water, noise, radiation, soil pollution. 7) To be able to explain waste types and municipal solid waste management. 8) To be able to explain climatology and indoor air quality. 9) To be able to explain what needs to be done for environmental health in the world and in Turkey. |
