Course Objectives: | At the end of the semester, the student • Having a theoretical and practical understanding of the working principles of the tools and equipment used in General Machinery Workshops, • Introducing the processes that technical personnel who can work with a Mechanical Engineer in his business life will do, • Learning the priorities and infrastructures of companies operating in business life with the help of Technical Tours, • Conducting experimental applications of theoretical courses taught during the semester. |
Course Content: | • Mechanical Laboratory Course Introduction • Soldering Experiment • Drill Usage Experiment • Technical Trip (Lathe and Milling) • Guide-Roll Usage Experiment • Measuring Instruments Usage Experiment (Caliper-Micrometer-Comparator-Angle) • Hand Tools Usage Experiment • Technical Trip (Heat Treatment) • Tensile-Compression-3 Point Bending Tests • Technical Trip (Mechanical Tests) • Hardness Tests • Effect of Heat Treatment |

1) Knows the theoretical and practical working principles of the tools and equipment used in General Machinery Workshops. 2) Knows the operations that the Technical personnel who can work with a Mechanical Engineer in his/her business life will do. 3) Gaining information with the help of Technical Tours about the priorities and infrastructures of companies operating in business life. 4) Applies the theoretical knowledge taught during the semester experimentally. |
