Course Objectives: | The aim of the course is to provide engineering students with a comprehensive knowledge of compressible flows and applications of drag and lift forces on sinking bodies. |
Course Content: | Basic concepts of compressible flows, basic principles, supersonic flow, definition of sonic, normal and oblique shocks and their effect on flow structure. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Learns basic information about the velocity of sound and shock waves. 2) Applies thermodynamic relations to flow. 3) Learns the application of supersonic flows to flow properties. 4) Gains knowledge and skills related to the calculation of drag and lift forces in objects |
