Course Objectives: | This course aims to introduce students to the fundamental principles and methods needed to understand and analyze fluid behavior in biological systems. Students are prepared for applications in biomedical engineering and medicine by learning the mathematical and physical foundations of fluid mechanics in biological processes such as blood circulation, respiratory system, cellular fluids. By applying the principles of fluid mechanics to biological systems, the course aims to provide students with a deep understanding at the intersection of biology and engineering disciplines. |
Course Content: | Introduction and Fundamental Concepts Mathematical and Physical Foundations of Fluid Behavior Biological Fluids Applications and Advanced Topics |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Students will be able to apply basic mathematical and physical principles to analyze fluid behavior in biological systems. 2) Students will be able to describe and model the principles of fluid mechanics in biological processes such as blood circulation, respiratory system and digestive system. 3) Students will understand how biofluid mechanics is used in biomedical engineering applications and will be able to analyze fluid behavior in complex biological systems. |
