Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the financial management course is to discuss the basic elements of financial management in businesses and basic financial decisions and practices to solve financial problems within the framework of financial management, investment decisions and financial markets.
Course Content: Finance Function in Businesses / Financial Environment and Financial Objectives / Time Value of Money / Financial Analysis and Control / Financial Planning / Working Capital Management / Cash Management / Inventory Management / Stock Investments

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Students will gain knowledge about the basic principles of financial management and the financial environment.
2) Students will learn short- and long-term financial planning techniques.
3) Students will understand the importance of receivables, cash and working capital management in businesses.
4) Students will analyze business finance decisions using a variety of financial methods.
5) Students will learn about stock valuation techniques.
