Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed that students have recognition of principles like conditionality, being scientific and being historical while evaluating cases and problems; It is aimed that students have ability to function on a project as a team member or leader; Improving the ability of oral and written communication; It is aimed that students have ability to analyze, explain and solve the problems related to quality management; It is aimed that students have the qualification and perfection of a quality manager.
Course Content: Quality and basic concepts; Factors effecting quality; Total quality control; Total quality management and basic concepts; Implementation process of TQM; TQM and process relation; Quality assurance systems; ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance standards; Cost of defect and quality; Quality improvement tools; Quality improvement techniques; Quality management; Case studies; Quality costs

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Gains the ability of development knowledge , purpose and basic functions of quality concept.
2) Gains to importance of quality management for organizations
3) Gains to the ability of analyzing, explaining and solving the problems related to quality.
