Course Objectives: | The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge and skills about health status assessment and methods. |
Course Content: | The concept of health/disease, data collection, physical examination methods, diagnosis of bio-physical, psychosocial, mental and spiritual status, evaluation of systems, different cultures approach to incoming patients. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to diagnose psychosocial and mental status. 2) To be able to know the concepts of health and disease. 3) To know the models and strategies in health promotion. 4) To be able to evaluate the life findings of the individual according to developmental periods. 5) To be able to know and apply physical examination skills. 6) To be able to know and apply various methods of data collection. 7) To be able to take a comprehensive health history using appropriate interview techniques. 8) To be able to know and apply the evaluation of systems. 9) To be able to know the role of cultural differences in health assessment 10) To be able to know health-promoting practices according to life periods and cultural differences of individuals. |
