Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: To develop the multidimensional design abilities and skills, artistic identities and creativity of prospective architects through problems of different scope and scale.
Course Content: Reading and interpreting design elements and principles in painting, relief-texture, sculpture, interior fittings, industrial products/Introducing modeling tools and equipment/Teaching and applying surface and mass designs/creating the designed model with 3D modeling and modelling.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Gains the ability to examine form formation conceptually.
2) Gains the ability to analyze the form-function-technology relationship
3) Gains the ability to use concepts in surface-facade layering
4) Gains the ability to comprehend environmental art by interpreting the context-sculpture relationship.

2) Explanation of design elements and principles and architectural concepts / Research study and poster assignment on the research of architects' architectural works and other designs None
3) Reading and interpreting the relationship between architects' interior fittings, industrial products and similar designs and their architectural identities through examples (before the 20th century - Bauhaus - Modern Architecture period) / Investigation of surface - facade layering and poster homework None
4) Examining the use of concepts in surface-facade layering / surface design study sketches (texture - relief) None
5) Examining the use of concepts in surface-facade layering / surface design sketches (pattern - material - surface movement, etc.) None
6) Conceptual analysis of form formation and reading the impact of creativity / Research study and poster assignment on modern works of art and sculpture None
7) Examination of form and abstract-concrete concepts in sculpture art None
