English Translation and Interpretation is an interdisciplinary department that deals with translation theory, definition and practice of the language, intertwined with other fields such as linguistics, philosophy and comparative literature. Today, the need for scientifically and culturally equipped translators is increasing.
The aim of İSTÜN English Translation and Interpretation Program is to raise graduates who are well-educated in the field, have good knowledge of Turkish and English grammar, can use translation technologies well, can do written and oral translation, have a good command of terminology in different fields, have a strong general cultural knowledge, and have ethical principles of the translation profession.
