Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives:

In accordance with the philosophy and basic principles of mental health and disease nursing; To improve caregiving skills for the needs of patients/individuals and their families, in the light of conceptual knowledge and nursing approaches for the protection, development and improvement of mental health.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explains the basic concepts of mental health and diseases.
2) Distinguishes normal and abnormal human behavior patterns and the factors affecting these behaviors.
3) Describes situations where mental health deteriorates.
4) Describes common mental health problems in our country.
5) Discusses the impact of mental problems on the individual, family and society.
