Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: The main objective of the course is to enable students to understand the language of medicine and to translate various medical texts from English into Turkish and vice versa. The course helps students improve their medical English and translation skills on medical texts. In this course, students learn to use medical terminology properly. The texts to be translated are taken from periodicals and textbooks on medicine
Course Content: This course consists of translation-oriented analysis and translation of medical texts taken from medical books and journals or the Internet in terms of grammar, vocabulary and terminology.
