Course Objectives: | This course aims to enable students to comprehend and translate technical and scientific texts. It is aimed to familiarize students with the terminology and stylistic properties of technical and scientific texts and to provide them with the opportunity to transfer those elements to the target language. This course also includes theoretical approaches to technical translation. |
Course Content: | This course consists of the structure of technical and scientific texts, steps of technical translation, research and terminology studies on contemporary technical issues as well as translation and editing practice. |
