Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to provide medical students with knowledge in the field of stem cell and regenerative medicine; to learn about innovative treatment approaches in stem cell application, bioengineering, cellular therapy methods and medical innovations obtained from current research.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Students taking the course know stem cells, cellular therapy methods, tissue engineering approaches used in the field of regenerative medicine. They can use this knowledge competently in preparing a research project and following the articles published in the field. Students will be able to know the general properties of stem cells, isolation and characterisation methods, and their potential use in therapy.
