ISTUN Department of English Translation and Interpretation started instruction in 2021-2022 academic year. As İSTÜN School of Applied Languages, our aim is to provide our students with a qualified foreign language education and to equip them with the foreign language skills they will need, to help them grow in terms of scientific thinking as creative and productive individuals by guiding them in accessing information. In light of all these, it is the mission of our school to get our students to like foreign languages, to understand what they read and listen to, to express what they understand in writing and orally, to communicate with people from different cultures, and to gain self-confidence in society.
To achieve the targeted quality in higher education with its modern physical structure, effective technical infrastructure and competent academic staff, it is our aim to combine contemporary approaches, methods and techniques in language learning with our goals and objectives, to create course resources that our students can access at any time, and to be one of the schools with advanced academic qualifications. It is aimed that our students will be individuals with responsibility and self-confidence who can follow scientific and technological developments in English publications, interpret them, translate texts, and obtain the necessary language communication skills in professional, cultural and social life, with the gains they have achieved in terms of content or knowledge-skills.
