Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: To gain knowledge and skills for students to use all the equipment in the ambulance effectively. To ensure that they gain knowledge and skills to be able to drive in the ambulance when necessary. To be able to work as a team at the scene
Course Content: This course includes the duties and legal responsibilities of paramedics, crime scene assessment, types of ambulances, use of ambulance equipment, ambulance driving techniques and teamwork of paramedics.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to comprehend the work of paramedics as a team
2) To be able to recognise an ambulance
3) To be able to comprehend Ambulance Equipment
4) To be able to use devices such as defibirilator and ventilator
5) To be able to master modern ambulance equipment
6) Ability to stabilise and transport the patient in the field
7) Knowing ambulance driving rules
