Course Purpose and Content

Course Objectives: Operational Excellence (OM) is the field of business that deals with the management of resources and activities that produce products and services and deliver them to customers. Thanks to efficient and effective operations, the organization's ability to respond to customer and market demands quickly, at low cost and with high quality increases, and thus the organization gains significant competitive advantages. This course aims to equip students with the skills necessary for the company they manage to survive and grow by effectively running its operations and using its resources efficiently.
Course Content: This course focuses on basic concepts, topics and techniques for effective and efficient operations. Special emphasis is placed on process development and planning. Topics include operational strategy, product and service design, capacity planning, large-scale planning and demand management, materials and inventory management, quality management, project management and supply chain management.
